what happened next! The creature fell from Tom Cat's mouth and landed near my feet. I was so scared. Thoughts rambled through my mind. Should I scream or do I run as fast as I can. I still did not know what type of creature I was dealing with. Hey, I was just plain terrified! c.williams
So I closed my eyes and stood as still as I could. I could fell the creature breathing in and out at my feet. I took one step back, the creature took one step up. I took another step back and, again, the creature followed. Slowly, I opened one eye, then the other. To my surprise... r.washington
Tom Cat snatched the unlucky creature again and slithered up a tall pine tree just like a sneaky snake. By now I was really upset with myself and the strange creature. Hey I still didn't know what type of creature Tom Cat had in his mouth! I pulled out my cell phone and called 911. "911 how may I help you" bellowed the voice on the other line. "Sir, I have an emergency! My cat has a strange animal in his mouth. I need some assistance right away!" Guess what happened next... c.williams
Once again, the creature fell from Tom Cat's mouth; this time all the way to the ground from the top of the tree. The creature laid very still as I backed away quickly, remembering what happened at our first encounter. I heard the sirens approaching from the distance. There is still no movement from the creature and I was curious to know what this creature was. I could hear the sirens getting closer and closer as I moved closer and closer to the creature. Suddenly, the creature moved, but I kept walking. And now, here I was face to face with a... r. washington
From the tree, Tom Cat stared me down closely. I could see the strange creature's heart pounding wildly as it lay motionless on the ground. It's previously wide-eyed expression was gone as his eyes were closed from the struggle with Tom Cat and long fall from the tree. The police car arrived along with the Pet Snatchers animal shelter van. We all gathered around the creature. It began twitching slowly by jerking its short front limbs. It looked as if it could stand up on its hind legs if it was awake. The Pet Snatchers were geared up with their rope and cage as we awaited for the creature to makes its next move..... L. Shelton
One of the Pet Snatchers approached the mysterious animal with a look of determination on his face. I thought to myself, "Is this guy crazy or what!" Then I looked at his uniform name tag. My eyes grew as big as yellow moon pies. Yes, you heard me right! Yellow moon pies! The Pet Snatcher who I am thinking might solve the big MYSTERY has the name of "Hercules!" I mumbled to myself, "Can this day get any stranger?" .....c. williams
It can get stranger and it did! Hercules threw his cage over the mystery animal. It shreeked loudly and began jumping up and down. Its tiny mouselike hands were wrapped around the cage bars. I began to stop being afraid as I could see it was just as afraid of us. I asked Hercules if he had any idea what this mystery creature was. He said it was a rare breed of.... L. Shelton
As we all took our eyes off the creature to listen to Hercules, he went into this long explanation about what the creature was. Well to our suprise we looked back down and the creature was not in the cage. We were all in shock and said to one another, "Did you see where it went?" After a long list of no's everyone started to look around. They were worried they were never going to find the creature, until Hercules looked.....j. luker
....in Tom Cat's mouth. Tom Cat had been nearby watching all of the calamity with amusement in his eyes! He was thinking that we were not going to get away with his giant mouselike creature that easy. He must have gotten under the cage and slipped it out on the sly. Tom Cat saw us approach him and quickly began running away from us with the creature flapping wildly in his mouth. Hercules was in the lead with the cage in hand. L. Shelton
Tom Cat ran as fast as he could as we all followed. I yelled his name as we continued to follow him down the street. There was no way we were going to catch Tom Cat wihout a plan. I started to think, then yelled for Hercules to stay behind him. I went back to the yard to gather a few items. I heard Hercules scream that he was headed back my way. I quickly set a trap to try to catch Tom Cat and it worked. When the trap caught Tom Cat by the foot, the creature, once again flew from his mouth, and kept running. Now... r. washington
